About
Thuluth Studio is a furniture design studio built on three beliefs: storytelling, materiality, and human experience.
Every piece begins with an Egyptian story, transforming heritage, culture, and forgotten narratives into furniture that brings a part of Egypt into everyday life. Through the use of unconventional local materials, we seek to rediscover the hidden treasures of our land and present them through a contemporary design language.
Designed with carefully studied proportions and ergonomics, each piece is created not only to support the body, but also to evoke a sense of comfort, connection, and emotions that feel new with every encounter.
This is the essence of Thuluth — furniture that adds a distinctive character to your home and turns everyday spaces into meaningful experiences.
The Designer
Maryam Mjid is an Egyptian designer driven by a deep passion for art, design, and craftsmanship. She is constantly exploring new ideas, materials, and perspectives, seeking to transform them into unexpected and meaningful design experiences.
Inspired by Egypt’s rich heritage, culture, and stories, Maryam approaches design as a process of discovery—finding new ways to reinterpret familiar elements through contemporary forms. Her work combines research, experimentation, and thoughtful design to create pieces that connect people with places, memories, and emotions.
For Maryam, design is more than creating objects; it is about telling stories, preserving identity, and offering a different way of experiencing the world around us.
